From the Principal’s Desk
Mahitosh Nandy Mahavidyalaya was established on 12th of July 2007.It’s a Government sponsored college affiliated to University of Calcutta. The college has flourished in imparting quality education during the last 17 years. Initially the college was given permission to start with only Three Year General` Course. Now it offers Honours Course in 7 subjects along with General Course. The college has 31 Teachers along with 9 office staff members.
We believe in all round development of our students. Hence students are encouraged to participate in cultural competitions, sports and various welfare programmes organised by NSS.
Seminars and talks are organised to widen the horizon of knowledge of the students. Our teachers work hard to make our students well prepared to face the competitive society with value-based knowledge and skills. ICT is often used to teach the students. Teachers always try to offer holistic education that includes academics, co-curricular activities, sports and life-skills education.
Slow learners are allowed to proceed at their own pace. Remedial classes are arranged to help them cope with their difficulties
The college has different statutory and non-statutory committees that run the college smoothly. The college is free from any type of ragging
The academic and administrative activities are well supported by a group of efficient office staff members who handles issues like different types of scholarships, registration and verification of form fill in of students and different office related works also.
The students of our college make us proud with their performance in various examinations. The enthusiasm and zeal of our teachers and staff has helped us to achieve what we have achieved today.
